Sojourn: a temporary stay

I started traveling by myself when I was 19 years old through a university program called Semester at Sea, ISE. Crossing through a market in India, I realized that our time on this earth is just a temporary stay, much like my time in that market. I remember the smells of spices hitting my nose and thinking, “One day this will be a distant memory”. From that day on, I saw my time anywhere as a sojourn. A temporary stay on the journey in life. Since then, I’ve lived a thousand lives and traveled to hundreds of places; all with a new sense of gratitude for the Bold Sojourns we all take.

I started Tour Directing as a means to share this gratitude with others and inspire each person to seek perspective, new experiences, and a little adventure. I have a love for the classical learning models used by ancient philosophers like Socrates and utilize these to understand each new place.
